In addition to the academic challenges students face at university, international students must also confront the daunting task of adjusting to American life and customs. ELS Shanghai’s Weekend Enhancement Program (WEP) complements our University Preparation Program with a series of courses that seek to build language, academic and cultural skills through an exploration of American literature, culture and history. Students will have an opportunity to learn more about the United States while targeting areas of language and academic skills that need development, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
WEP classes run Saturday and Sunday, morning and afternoon. In order to accommodate Shanghai students’ busy weekday schedules, they may choose to attend any combination of classes that suits their needs and interests.
