How to enrol

Thank you for choosing to study at ELS Universal English College. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!

To study in Australia you will need to apply for a visa and there are 3 main options – a Student Visa, a Tourist Visa and a Working Holiday Visa. For further information, please visit the DIBP website

To enrol with us, you can send your application directly to our school and follow the 6 easy steps below.

Step 1

You will need to complete our Enrolment Form. There are two ways you can do this:

Enrol Online or

Download and complete a PDF version of the 2016 Application and fax it to us on 61 2 9283-1760 or email it to us at

Step 2

We will acknowledge your signed application and issue a Letter of Offer and
an invoice. This acknowledgement normally occurs the next business day
after our receipt of your completed application. If you are on a Student visa you must indicate your acceptance of the Conditions of Enrolment (which we will forward to you with your letter of offer and invoice), before we can accept payment from you to confirm your enrolment.

Step 3

You are required to pay your fees by the due date indicated on the invoice.

a) Student visa students – you must pay your fees as invoiced before we will issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). When selecting a commencement date, allow at least 4 weeks for visa processing.

b) Students on other visas – you must pay your fees in full no later than 2 weeks before your course commencement date to confirm your enrolment.

Please send us the fees in Australian dollars including all optional service fees. Payment may be made by Bank Transfer, Bank Cheque or Credit card (Visa and Mastercard only).

Students are responsible for paying all bank charges.

Step 4

If you are planning to study on a Student Visa, we will issue you with a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) when payment is received.

Step 5

Apply for your visa from the Australian Embassy or Consulate. If you are applying for a Student Visa, you must take your CoE with you to the Australian Embassy or Consulate.

Step 6

Advise us immediately if there is a change to your proposed course start date. To be effective, any changes to enrolment details must be notified to ELS Universal English College in writing.

Homestay and airport pickup services

If you wish to use our homestay service, you will need to apply at least 4 weeks before your arrival in Australia, to allow us adequate time to find you the most suitable family.

Please provide us with the following flight information 3 weeks before you arrive in Australia:

  • Flight number
  • Date of arrival
  • Time of arrival

We will aim to confirm your homestay details (and Airport transfer if requested) 2 weeks before you arrive in Australia provided your fees have been received.
