Study engineering abroad
Engineering is the study of using technology and mathematics to create solutions for genetic, mechanical or structural problems. Engineering is the most sought after profession by individuals and there is always a demand for qualified engineers.
Which Engineering degree is the best?
There is no best or worst engineering degree. It is important to choose a program that interests you and you feel confident about your knowledge in the chosen field of engineering. There are several concentration tracks within engineering and ELS can help you choose the right one based on your qualifications and interest.
Aerospace Engineering: Aerospace engineering is the study of design, construction, research and testing of aircrafts and spacecraft. The two major branches of aerospace engineering are “aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering”. Aeronautics deals with aircrafts that operate within the earth’s atmosphere and astronautics deals with spacecraft that operates outside the earth’s atmosphere. Some universities offer degree programs that focus on spacecraft or astronautical engineering.
Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest of engineering disciplines. It is the study of applying the principles of engineering and physics for the design, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Electrical Engineering: It is the study of application of electricity and electronics. There are several concentration tracks within Electrical Engineering like power engineering, signal processing, control systems and instrumentation.
Civil Engineering: The study of design, construction and maintenance of physically built environment is civil engineering. Civil engineering can be further broken down into Architectural, Geotechnical, Structural, transportation and forensic engineering.
Biomedical Engineering: It is the study of application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes like treatment, diagnosis and monitoring.
Computer Engineering: It is the study of designing hardware components of computers. Circuit design, microprocessors, microcontrollers are all part of computer engineering.
Automotive engineering: This is a specialized study of design, manufacture and operation of automobiles.
